Title:  Circuits of Minimal Size in Paley ETFs

Abstract:  Equiangular tight frames are generalizations of orthonormal bases that are spread out in an optimal geometric way. While these do not often coincide with full spark frames, those that are spread out in an optimal way algebraically, there are relations between them. We show that particular classes of ETFs cannot be full spark. We also look at the sparkly sets, the circuits of minimal size in the matroid of frame vectors, for ETFs coming from Paley difference sets.
