The Outstanding GTA is a graduate teaching assistant (GTA) who excels in at least one of the categories of teaching, research, and service. To be eligible, the student being nominate must have taught as a GTA for at least one semester in the academic year in which they are nominated. A nominee may have held a GRA for at most one semester during that year. Summer support does not affect eligibility for the award. The selection committee for the Outstanding GTA is the Graduate Committee augmented by the Department Chair.

You do not have to address excellence in each category.
